Every year India celebrates Science Day on 28th February. Science Day commemorates birth anniversary of Dr. CV Raman. On this day major scientific organizations are open for public as they showcase their work. Giant Meterwave Radio Telescope (GMRT) is one of them. Every year a grand exhibition is held on the grounds of GMRT campus, more than , 20,000 people visit, that is why the event is called Science Day Festival.
Mozilla has also been part of the Festival for around 4 years now. Every year contributors from the Nashik and Pune community come together to represent Mozilla and to spread its mission of free and open web.
This year has been no different as our stall recieved wider appreciation both from the visitors and the organizers. This time we aligned ourselves according to the Mozactivate goals. Privacy and Security and WebVR recieved much appreciation. We also showcased localized Firefox.
This festival will always remain close to our hearts because this gives us an opputunity to take and showcase our work at the grassroot level. It is an absolute awesomeness to experience that more people are willing to learn new technologies and apply them in real life to make the world a better place.
